player. 48.
At the end of the day Jameis Winston will be a Buccaneer. All the measurables are there for Winston to be a very effective, playoff competing quarterback for years to come. His size, arm strength and football IQ are all well above-average, and way better than anyone else at the quarterback position in this draft class.

Ironically, I liked that Winston struggled last season. Yes, Florida State still won football games, but his statistics in almost every major category took a plunge from his 2013 Heisman season. Lets be honest, the star quarterback of the football team can be coddled and really never experience failure because everyone is always hyping them up.

I think thats the problem with many quarterbacks who’ve had success at the collegiate level. They simply don’t know how to deal with failure. Winston struggled and bounced back by still winning football games which is something I like to see when drafting a quarterback as high as where Winston will be taken.

He clearly has maturity issues which is definitely a concern, and his throwing motion is a bit elongated, but there is no better quarterback prospect in this draft. This is a clear case of supply and demand, and Tampa needs a quarterback. That is just how it works.
. QB. Florida State. Jameis Winston. 1
