27. player. 123. <p>The Cowboys have gone with “safe” picks in the 1st-round for quite awhile now mainly in the form of offensive lineman. Much of that can have to do with Stephen Jones who has held his father Jerry, from making big splash deals.</p> <p>Phillips makes a ton of sense on a Cowboys defense that personal wise just isn’t very good. He brings a huge 6’5″ 329 lbs. frame and could really dominate in both the run and pass game at the nose tackle position.</p> <p>The Cowboys seem to have the right idea on building a massive and effective offensive line, and now its time to do the same on the defensive side.
