9. Landon Collins, S, Alabama 

Collins is the best safety in an awful draft class for safeties. Can you name me the five best at the position? How about three? Yeah, it’s pretty bad. That’s exactly what worries me. If he was in a good class of safeties would Collins still be considered a 1st-round caliber safety? Not sure.

What also puts Collins in this conversation is the success rate of Alabama defensive backs in the NFL. Javier Arenas anyone? Dee Milliner? Mark Barron? Dre Kirkpatrick? Ehh, not impressed. Is Collins simply a product of the great Nick Saban defense? He could be a real risky play if he’s taken inside the top 12 in this year’s draft.
