Dante Fowler Jr. is an athletic freak, but when the term “raw’ is thrown around you know that player could either be a big boom or big bust. Fowler’s status as a top 5 pick is based almost purely on what he can become, as his production at Florida wasn’t exactly eye-popping.
His 5.5 sacks last year and 0 forced fumbles don’t exactly show the dominance you would like to see from a top 5 pick, but his athleticism is rare. If Fowler Jr. can grow into the expectations many have put on him, he can truly be one of the more dominant defensive players in the game. The problem is how long will it take for him to harness his true potential?
