If you have been following our draft coverage, you know how I feel about Danny Shelton. Shelton is without a doubt my favorite draft prospect; the 339 lbs. Shelton has jaw dropping ability.

Shelton is a top ten talent that you may be able to get as late as the 15th pick. We know that two quarterbacks are going in the first ten picks. We know that two receivers are going in the first ten picks. It is a safe bet that the top 3 pass rushers are going in the top 10 picks.

That means that if a defensive tackle needing team (cough, cough…Giants) passes on Shelton, he could fall out of the top 10. At that point he would be an absolute steal. I have Shelton ranked as the fifth best prospect for a reason. He has a rare combination of quickness, explosion and power.

Some lucky team could easily find Shelton as a steal beyond the top ten picks. If he is as good as I think he is, that is a monumental draft steal.
