7. Carl Davis, DT (Iowa)
It is hard to know where Davis will be taken in this NFL Draft. Davis is an incredible 6-5 320 pounds of pure power. He has the potential to be a dominant nose tackle in the NFL. That being said he doesn’t have the explosiveness of the coveted Danny Shelton, despite having similar power.
Davis could be taken as high as the 2nd round but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him fall to the 3rd round. If he falls to the 3rd round the team that drafts him will have found a steal.
Davis will be a run stuffing defensive tackle. While he doesn’t have the quickness or the dancing feet of Shelton, he can get some serious push into the backfield.
Davis is not a great pass rusher but he can have a great impact up front. Davis will help your defense win the line of scrimmage. Because of his great potential, Davis could be a steal in the 3rd round.
