1. Dante Fowler Jr., Florida, OLB

Finally, we turn to our top linebacker in this year’s draft, Dante Fowler Jr. Every team definitely wants a piece of the Florida Gators’ junior as he possess every trait a linebacker should hold. Mainly, Fowler is versatile and could line up in any linebacker position while still being effective. His huge frame and quick feet are tough to match-up with especially his aggressive hands.

Fowler doesn’t really show any real concerns or weaknesses, only at times he allows the ball-carrier to get past him. With time, Fowler will get better and stronger, the NFL will make him the complete player which will also help grow his recognition for the ball. He has the ability to disrupt the edges of offenses just like Baltimore Ravens’ Terrell Suggs. In a traditional 3-4 defense, Fowler is ready for the pro-level and willing to handle those defense duties in a four man front.

Fowler is a top-five target, especially for the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars who are both looking to go for defense this year. Not only does he possess the attributes, he displays the passion every team looks for in a linebacker. The versatility and mental skill will take Fowler to the level he deserves to be.
