5. The Dallas Cowboys Will Trade Their First Round Pick For Adrian Peterson

Cowboy’s fans can finally rejoice because Jerry Jones had a plan after all. Darren McFadden will not be the featured running back in Dallas. Jones isn’t a long-term kind of man, he lives in the now. I can’t see the Cowboys drafting Melvin Gordon with their first round pick because it may take time to develop him. The last thing the Cowboys need to do is wait.

Tony Romo isn’t getting any younger. He will only get more injury prone as the years go on. Taking the time to develop a running back may be too long. Dallas has a good thing going and added Peterson to the mix will only make it better. Peterson could do some major damage with the Cowboys’ offensive line blocking for him.

The Minnesota Vikings are putting a hefty price tag on Peterson for a trade, but a price tag means nothing to Jones. Dallas is in a good enough position to give away their draft pick with ease. The issue is, the Vikings want a little more than a first round pick.

ESPN’s Adam Caplan reported that the Vikings are looking for a package, a first round pick and more . As good as the Cowboys were last year, they may not be able to afford to lose any more pieces. Sometimes you just have to give something up to get something better and that might just happen here.
