2. The Cleveland Browns Trade Johnny Manziel And More To The New York Jets

Johnny “Money” Manziel will be on his way to New York City to play in green.Tons of teams are reportedly interested in trading to be able to draft Mariota. It’s highly unlikely the Jets even get a shot at him. The Jets will not be willing to give up and arm and a leg to trade up for him either. So they should just take advantage of the frenzy.

The Jets already have Geno Smith ready to compete for the quarterback position. Smith could easily be given another chance under new head coach Todd Bowles. As an insurance policy, it wouldn’t hurt to bring in another quarterback either. Smith may not be the long term answer.

Manziel has to many issues for him to be traded alone. He would be shipped off along with Cleveland’s twelfth overall pick as well as Terrance West. The Jets could use some youth in their backfield. West showed a lot of promise. Cleveland is going to use the Jets’ pick to package a deal with the 19th overall pick to nab Mariota.

Mike McCagnan could look like a superstar general manager if he manages to pull this off. There is only upside for this deal, Manziel is a former first round pick looking to prove himself. A fresh start is what he needs.
