14. Marcus Peters, CB (Washington)

Okay, Peters comes with some baggage. He has some off the field concerns, he has character concerns that may knock down his draft stock. That being said he is unbelievably talented.

Peters is a physical cornerback who excels in bump and run coverage. He has the prototypical length, more than the requisite recovery speed and he is excellent at knocking the football away from receivers.

In terms of the physical attributes, Peters is perfect for his position. He is a very skilled athlete, his best ability is his vertical jump. He can challenge big and strong receivers for the 50/50 balls deep down the field.

Peters may have his concerns, but he wouldn’t be the first person who did dumb things in college and be okay for it. Peters reminds me of the Baltimore Ravens Jimmy Smith. With a little maturity, Smith became one of the best defensive backs in football.
