13. Landon Collins, SS (Alabama)

Landon Collins is the best strong safety in this class and for my money it isn’t even close. He has rare versatility and he hits like the hammer of Thor. On the football field, Collins is a lot like a superhero himself.

Collins is not your typical one-dimensional strong safety. He has the skills of a free safety with the physicality of a strong safety. He can cover tight ends and running backs and has the speed to play well out of the box.

Collins was the most impressive defensive player at Alabama, a team full of impressive defensive players. Collins is NFL ready, he was coached by Nick Saban and defensive coordinator Kirby Smart. Alabama consistently gives the NFL talented players and Collins is one of their best looking prospects of all time.

The NFL has become a passing game. Strong safeties who can do it all have become a rarity. Collins is an unbelievable value in the 2015 NFL Draft.
