2015 NFL Draft: Top 25 Final Big Board
9. Trae Waynes, CB (Michigan State)
The shutdown cornerback in this draft class is Trae Waynes. Waynes has everything you could ask for in a cornerback. He has the size, speed and cover skills to be a Richard Sherman type player.
Waynes is amazingly athletic. He excels in man coverage, and is very physical with wide receivers at the line of scrimmage. In bump and run coverage, he is in his wheel house.
Waynes was hardly challenged by his senior season. Opponents had caught on to his talents. In college he was certainly the shut down corner that he projects to be in the NFL.
There isn’t an awful lot to dislike about Waynes game. He is a bit over aggressive, but this day and age, who isn’t.
Next: 8. Jameis Winston, QB (FSU)
