22. Kevin Johnson, CB (Wake Forest)

Johnson really moved up my draft board. I originally had a second round grade on Johnson, citing the fact that he is a little undersized. The more I looked at this prospect however, the harder it became to put others in front of him.

From a technique standpoint there is not another prospect who is sharper than Johnson. He has great coverage skills in both man and zone coverage and he competes on every single snap of football.

Johnson’s knocks are his poor tackling and his small frame. That being said his athletic ability and his honed craft make up for these problems and then some.

Johnson will be a really good player for a really long time. I cannot think of too many players who would be more impactful than Johnson in this draft class.

Next: 21. Melvin Gordon, RB (Wisconsin)
