19. Eddie Goldman, DT (FSU)

Goldman is a phenomenally explosive athlete who can penetrate into the backfield and dominate. He is best projected as a 3 technique in the NFL. He will force double teams and will contribute in stuffing the run and making opposing quarterbacks’ lives miserable.

Goldman fires of the snap of the football and gets his hands inside of the offensive lineman he is matched up against. Because of his great first step, he wins the battles of hand position and leverage, making it easy to penetrate in his gap to make plays in the backfield.

While Goldman fits best in a 4-3 defense that takes advantage of his quickness and aggressiveness, he has the size and brute strength to two-gap as well. There is nothing that Goldman cannot do as a defensive tackle.

Goldman will be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL. He would be a perfect fit with the Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers, all who draft in the early 20’s.
