4. Durrell Eskridge, FS (Syracuse)

Durrell Eskridge is a really good defensive back from Syracuse. He hits like a strong safety though he is a speedy free safety. Eskridge has a knack for finding the football and he understands his assignment.

This is a high football IQ player at a position where a high football IQ is absolutely required. Eskridge has good size for a free safety, he is 6-2 and 203 pounds. He has good cover skills and he can change directions very well.

What I like about Eskridge is that he plays fast. He doesn’t hesitate and when he takes a chance he flies through it. The number one problem a safety can have is hesitating. Hesitation is what NFL quarterbacks like to feast on. Eskridge won’t be fooled by a simple pump fake, good luck looking this safety off.

Eskridge is a really good player who you may not have heard of if you don’t watch Syracuse every now and then. This is a name to keep an eye on.
