2. Mario Alford, WR (WVU)

There is another receiver from West Virginia in this draft class, though he isn’t the star that Kevin White is. Mario Alford is a really fast receiver that could be a good complement to the Giants roster in 2015. Alford is a speed demon who can burn past the defense. He is especially good after the catch.

Alford is just 5-8 with a small frame but he is a playmaker. He has surprising toughness to go up and get the football. He is a perfect route runner who changes directions well.

Alford had 65 receptions 945 yards and 11 touchdowns in the 2014 season. These are big time numbers for a guy with small stature. Alford is one of the most underrated players in this draft class, he will find a way to make plays in the NFL.

Alford reminds me of Wes Welker, but I think he is faster. Alford has some really special ability. If he wasn’t outshined by Kevin White, I’m guessing he would be a much more known commodity in this draft class.
