42. Duke Johnson, RB (Miami)

This is a dazzler right here, Duke Johnson from Miami. Johnson is one of the most exciting rushers you will ever see. He is so elusive, he is like a dancer on the football field. Johnson could be the great forgotten running back here, ranked behind four outstanding rushers.

Johnson’s statistics from Miami are insane. He averaged 6.8 yards per carry in 2014 and never had a season in which he didn’t average at least 6.3 yards per carry. In three seasons he has amassed 3,519 yards and 26 touchdowns on 526 rushing attempts. The 5-8 206 pound Johnson is also a capable receiver. He had 69 career receptions with the Hurricanes.

Johnson has surprising power and he has a really long stride. He changes directions more than an awesome roller coaster. Catching Johnson for a linebacker is like me trying to swat a fly. I always think I get close, but I never had a chance. He doesn’t have elite speed with a 40 yard dash of 4.54 seconds. That being said he is such an intuitive runner it matters not.

Wherever Johnson goes, he will be a fan favorite. He puts on quite the show.
