player. 15.
The Saints are missing something on defense. They simply have no big nasties on the defensive side of the ball- besides their defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. Danny Shelton brings a high motor intensity and that nastiness that New Orleans should be looking for.

Last season, they were disgraceful on the defensive side of the football and Shelton adds a both a great run stopping ability as well as a pass rushing element. Right now, Shelton looks like he’ll be the 1st defensive tackle taken off the board in the 1st-round and for good reason.

The Saints hold two 1st-round picks in this draft and defense should be the way to go. They have been rumored in the Mariota sweepstakes, but I feel they go defense here and use a later round pick on a Bryce Petty-type of player.
. Defensive Tackle. Washington. Danny Shelton. 13
