Nov 29, 2014; Louisville, KY, USA; Louisville Cardinals wide receiver DeVante Parker (9) runs the ball against Kentucky Wildcats defensive tackle Cory Johnson (67) during the second half at Papa John

60.
The Vikings have more pressing needs than wide receiver, but they have to get their young star Teddy Bridgewater his guy. Bridgewater and Parker put on quite a show when they were teammates at Louisville. I think this pick will prove to make a historic combination. The Vikings found a bona fide star in Parker. Parker is a great route runner, with reliable hands and most importantly toughness.

When you have a young quarterback with the keys to the franchise, you have to give him a wide receiver. Like Montana and Rice and Peyton Manning and Harrison, the Vikings hope to have the next great offensive duo. If Adrian Peterson stays with the Vikings, they would have their own version of the big 3 like the Cowboys of the 90’s.

Devante Parker missed the first half of the 2014 season and still put up big time numbers. In just 7 games Parker had 43 receptions for 855 yards and 5 touchdowns. In his entire junior season he caught 55 receptions for 885 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Parker would have had numbers comparable to Kevin White and Amari Cooper if he hadn’t been injured. Parker is a stud that the Vikings couldn’t possibly pass on with the eleventh pick, they grabbed a top 10 talent.
. Wide Receiver. Louisville. Devante Parker. 11. player
