player. 53.
The Cleveland Browns were totally going to take Parker, so they went to the best player on their draft board. Landon Collins is a potential game changing playmaker at the strong safety position. He has the versatility of Troy Polamalu and the physical imposingness of Kam Chancellor. This could be an all time great strong safety, and the Browns got him.

Collins may not be the receiver the Browns were hoping for but he is an amazing consolation prize. Collins will be a defensive playmaker who the Browns will unleash on the Ravens and Steelers, who used to have two of the best safeties of all time. Collins will surely be the thorn in the side of the Browns’ AFC North opponents for years to come.

Collins hits like a hammer and runs like a free safety. There isn’t a better option at strong safety in this draft class. In fact there really isn’t another option that is even comparable to Collins. The Browns defense is strong already, Collins could make them great on the defensive side of the football.

The Browns will focus on wide receiver later in this draft (spoiler alert). Remember this is just one round of a seven round mock draft.
. Strong Safety. Alabama. Landon Collins. 12
