The Patriots will add this deep threat to make their offense even more dangerous. The one thing the Patriots need in this draft is a receiver for Tom Brady to throw the football to. Devin Smith gives them this element, something they really haven’t had since Randy Moss left.

Devin Smith can take the top off of any defense. He is also a great red zone threat because he is a physical receiver with great vertical ability. This is a player who also comes up with the critical play when you need it most.

He ran a 4.42 second 40 yard dash at the combine. He had a 39 inch vertical jump. Smith is a bit of a raw prospect who needs coaching, Brady will be the perfect mentor for the young receiver.

If you thought this was fun, just wait for round 2. It is going to be just as fun as the 1st round, because there is still so much talent for the NFL teams to choose from. Keep tuned to GMENHQ for all your New York Giants centered draft coverage.
.
