3. Cleveland Browns Make A Push For Sam Bradford
Head coach Chip Kelly had something up his sleeve after all. There have been multiple reports that the Cleveland Browns were highly interested in Sam Bradford ever since he was traded to the Eagles. I’m not exactly sure why, but they see Bradford as the savior of their franchise.
In this scenario, Kelly wasn’t able to strike a deal to move up and grab Mariota. The Browns offered him Johnny Manziel, the 19th overall pick, and second round pick for Bradford. Kelly would opt to stock up on draft picks to better his team and in the process grabbed himself a new shiny toy at quarterback.
Manziel has done nothing but cause trouble since he was drafted to the Browns. Who better to exploit his strengths than Kelly? Not one coach in the NFL would want to take on this headache besides Kelly.
Kelly’s revolutionary offense would benefit Manziel and make him look better than he really is. Being mobile is essential to Kelly’s offense and that’s the one thing that Manziel can do right.
