Round Three: DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa
Odighizuwa is a UCLA product that is going to be a big part of the Steve Spagnuolo’s pass rush. Odighizuwa is going to have to work really hard to earn his keep though, because the Giants’ signed a whole onslaught of players to provide a pass rush.
Odighizuwa has a lot of upside and downside. He has had two previous hip surgeries, which is a serious knock against him. That is a major problem for someone who is supposed to play defensive end.
The upside is that Odighizuwa is a total beast, if it wasn’t for his hip surgeries, he would have been a second round talent. If all works at well, he could be developed into a monster and play opposite Jason-Pierre Paul.
Coughlin has to take the time to develop this very fragile talent. Health is key here, Reese took a huge gamble with that because injuries is what plagued them all season.
