4. The Defense Will Be Opportunistic But Not Dominant

The Giants defense will be better in 2015 with the additions of Landon Collins and Owamagbe Odighizuwa. But the defense will struggle. The Giants defense was putrid in 2014 and it is hard to see the defense being great in 2015. They had more issues than a couple of great draft picks could fix.

That being said the defense will be opportunistic. The pass rush will be improved with the return of Steve Spagnuolo as the defensive coordinator. Jason Pierre-Paul, who still is hungry for a long term contract will have a great season. Great pass rush will lead to turnovers.

The Giants will have to win their fair share of shoot outs in the 2015 season. The offense is going to put up points. What the defense needs to do (and will do) is find away to get the big stops late in the game. Turnovers generated by pass rush are going to be the lifeblood of this defense.
