5. Virginia DE, Eli Harold

Coming into the draft, Eli Harold was recognized as one of the better pass rushers in this class. His size kind of took the Giants out of the running for because of their system, but to give Steve Spagnuolo a player like this would’ve been something special.

At the next level he fits perfectly as a pass rushing outside linebacker. He has the speed, strength and length to do so. Reminding me very much of Baltimore Ravens pass rusher, Elvis Dumervil in that aspect.

Harold went on to be drafted by the 49ers who already added defensive lineman Arik Armstead in the 1st-round. I just feel in some way Spags would’ve found a way to use him effectively. They passed on him for UCLA defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa in the 3rd-round. I’m not sold on that being the right move as of now.
