3. Louisville S, Gerod Holliman

Teams need to understand that you aren’t always going to find a complete prospect in every round of the draft. Gerod Holliman is in no way a complete prospect, but he does one thing that makes a big difference at the next level: he forces turnovers.

His ball skills are unquestionably the best in this draft. He came off a 14 interception year at Louisville in 2014…yes you heard that correctly. He has great instincts to find the football and change games based on the amount of turnovers he can create.

The knock on him is that his tackling is atrocious, which it is, but when someone could be so dominant in another phase of the game how do you not take a flyer on trying to coach him up? The Giants passed on Holliman in the 7th round for offensive line help. I thought the risk would’ve unquestionably been worth it, especially at that point in the draft.
