Meet Justin Currie:

Fighting the odds, draft picks, and veterans will be safety Justin Currie out of Western Michigan. Currie started every game since his sophomore year, totaling 37 starts in that time. He finished his career racking up 339 total tackles including 316 since becoming a full-time starter.

The 6’2” 210 lb safety has good speed, hits hard, and has a rep for being a very good open field tackler. All of these traits should help Currie’s chances to make the team as a special teamer. He may have the best chance of the 5 undrafted prospects due to the lack of experience the Giants have within their safeties.

Could Currie really work his way on to the final 53 man roster? While the NFL is a big step up from Western Michigan, Currie has potential. His production says a lot about him as a player. This is a solid football player at a key position, where the Giants want depth.
