4. Injury Prone Players Get Hurt Again:

The Giants need their key players to be healthy. Avoiding injuries is a hard thing to do in the NFL, and it is something nobody can completely control. It is a physical game and injuries happen. One of the keys to winning football games is keeping your players healthy, which ultimately boils down to luck. The Giants problem is they have several players who are injury prone, or are just getting over a 2014 injury.

Five of the Giants key players have suffered major injury in previous seasons. Prince Amukamara got off to a slow start to his NFL career because of injury. Jon Beason, who is the leader of the defense when healthy is very injury prone. Geoff Schwartz, who could be the team’s most talented offensive lineman only played in 2 games before being put on injured reserve in 2014. Rashad Jennings will get beat up pretty good from time to time on the field, missing games because of it. We already discussed the injury woes of Cruz.

These are 4 players the Giants have very high expectations for. When they are all healthy the Giants are a much better team. The Giants have addressed depth at running back and along the offensive line in the offseason. The Giants have plenty of bodies at the receiver position. The one player they need to stay healthy is Beason. Beason is without a doubt the best option the Giants have at linebacker when he is one hundred percent.
