2. Cornerback, Prince Amukamara

Every year I watch Prince Amukamara I am more and more impressed by his play. I think he’s one of the more underrated corners in the league and if he didn’t have his 2014 season cut short because of injury I think he would’ve been a Pro Bowler last season.

Playing just 8 games in 2014, Prince recorded 3 interceptions which set a career high. At the cornerback position the ability to be a good run defender goes unnoticed by many, but it’s something he does extremely well and the Giants run defense really suffered when he went down for the season.

With what projects to be a stronger front 7 than last year, the Giants secondary should be put in a better position to succeed. Even though the team recorded 47 sacks, many were against weaker competition.

This could be one of the better defensive units he’s been a part of since being a member of the team, which in return should lead to more success in his game. Don’t underestimate the game of Amukamara because before you know it he will be mentioned with the elite corners in the game.
