New York Giants: 10-6 (Wild Card)
Before you get mad that the Giants aren’t winning the division in my predictions, hear me out. The Giants will have a great season and go 10-6 which will be much more fun than the previous two seasons. We’re looking at a Giants team that has been swept by the Cowboys two seasons in a row. If they want to be considered the division favorites, they have a chance to prove it in week one. The Cowboys as much as we’d love to say otherwise haven’t gotten any worse going into the 2015 season. The Giants will be a playoff team, scraping the 5th seed in the NFC playoff. It may not be what you want to hear, but it is what I believe to be the truth and the truth is something that I will always strive to give you.
The Giants offensive line will be improved and the offense will go to even higher heights than it did last season. The combination of Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham Jr. will prove to be one of the all time great duos in NFL history. Eli Manning will have a phenomenal season, a season where he may just knock on the door of 5,000 yards passing. The offense will put up points and give fans something to look forward to, each and every week. I promise that if nothing else, the upcoming season will be fun.
The Giants defense will be improved under Steve Spagnuolo. Its hard not to have faith in this experienced defensive coordinator who has seen it all in his time in the NFL. The defensive pass rush will give the Giants opportunities to create turnovers and the defense will be opportunistic. There is an awful lot to be excited about with the Giants, and I think Jason Pierre-Paul is going to go off for double digit sacks. He is hungry for that big time contract and I think the franchise tag will put a chip on his shoulder.
With a monster production from key players the Giants will be a very tough team to beat in the 2015 season. The Giants will have some of the most impressive players in the NFL do big things all season long. They will have a chance to prove to the world that they are here to win the division in week one. This is a team that has to prove it, and I’m not so sure they can’t. The division will ultimately boil down to a tight race against the Giants and the most present thorn in their side, the Cowboys.
