Running Back: Rashad Jennings
Jennings will most likely be the featured back. However, he could just as easily take the back seat. Andre Williams is coming into his own and he could steal the job right from under Jennings nose. Vereen will be a role player whose role comes more as a receiver out of the backfield.
While Jennings is the better fit at the moment, he is constantly getting hurt and is climbing the ladder in age. It’s too soon to make assumptions, but I believe Jennings job is definitely in danger.
When Jennings is healthy, he has the ability to make a huge impact. Whenever the Giants had Jennings running the ball at full health, they dominated that respective game.
Having a healthy run game is vital to the Giants getting back on the right track. It takes a lot of pressure off Manning and the passing game. The question is, how much longer can Jennings bare all the brutal hits from NFL defenses.
