Defensive Line: DE Jason Peirre-Paul, DT Jonathan Hankins, DT Cullen Jenkins, DE Damontre Moore
I am confident that Pierre-Paul will turn back into his dominant 2011 form. He looked like he was back at full health this year, despite the fact that critics said his best performances were against weaker teams. I don’t think that means anything at all regarding his talent or health. A sack is a sack no matter who it’s against.
Hankins is coming into his own and will be dominant at the tackle position this year. Jenkins and Moore are in danger of losing their starting jobs. Jenkins will get outplayed very easily while Moore still has a lot of work to do. Moore is coming into this season with high expectations and a defensive line full of talented players
The starters listed are based off of prior knowledge. Robert Ayers, Owa Odighizuwa, and Kerry Wynn will all provide competition to compete for the listed starters spots with the exception of Pierre-Paul.
Odighizuwa has so much talent that he could be moved over to the defensive line and it would take two offensive lineman to contain him. If he stays healthy I don’t know if anyone on the defensive line is safe. The Giants will rotate players in and out to keep defensive linemen fresh. Kenrick Ellis will also have a big impact.
