5. Ed Danowski

Danowski played on one of the greatest Giants teams in the franchises’ history. He was a three time Pro-Bowl selection and a one time All-Star selection.

What is so great about Danowski is the fact that he lead the Giants to winning two NFL championships in 1934 and 1938.

Danowski is number five on the list because he was part of one of the golden ages of Giants football. He quarterbacked a team that would be remembered throughout Giants history as one of the greatest squads ever.

Danowski may not have as much talent as the other quarterbacks, but he showed up and played some amazing football when he had to. The game was so much different in that era. Quarterbacks had to be incredibly tough. Danowski was and he was a great leader of great Giants teams.
