3. The Giants Win NFC East Games
The Giants go into the season with the mission of beating the teams in their division. Beating the Redskins still looks promising. The Eagles have had the Giants’ number but that could easily change. The goal is to sweep the Eagles and Redskins and earn a tough split with the Cowboys. Going 5-1 within your own division is a good way to get to the playoffs, and this year it is feasible.
The Giants can compete with every team in their division. The Eagles secondary is young, and mostly built through this year’s draft. The veteran savvy of Manning will allow the Giants to torch the Eagles defense that is now lacking in the pass rush department. Sam Bradford doesn’t scare me, and if the Giants get after him, the Giants could have their way with the Eagles.
It all boils down to how the Giants will fair against the Cowboys. The Cowboys of course have the best offensive line in the NFL, so they will be a hard match up for the pass rush reliant, Giants. The Giants however can put up the points necessary to win at least one shootout with their division rival. The Giants will take care of business within their own division they will win at least four of the six divisional contests.
