8. Brandon Jacobs, 2008:

Brandon Jacobs had two different stints with the New York Giants. Jacobs was a fan favorite and a guy who always played smash mouth football. Jacobs had some big seasons with the Giants.

He was a part of two super bowl runs. Jacobs was a big guy especially for a running back as he stood at 6’4″ and weighed 256 pounds. Jacobs had four playoff touchdowns in his Giants career. Jacobs racked up 60 touchdowns in eight years with the Giants. However his best season was in 2008.

In 2008 the Giants were defending Super Bowl champions. They would go 12-4 in the regular season. Jacobs was a big part of this. He missed three games but still had 15 rushing touchdowns. He also had 1089 yards. Jacobs could have had an even better season had he been healthy. Jacobs averaged 83.8 yards per game and averaged 5 yards per carry. Jacobs 2008 season was the best Giant running back season of the decade.
