7. Eli Manning, 2007:

Eli Manning was the first overall pick in the NFL Draft in 2004. Manning had his ups and downs early in his NFL career. However in 2007 Eli Manning would become a star player in the NFL. In 2006 Eli Manning had 24 touchdowns but the Giants went 8-8. Manning didn’t have his best regular season in 2007 however he led the Giants to a 10-6 record and a Wild Card. Manning threw 23 touchdowns in the regular season. Manning matured into a star in the 2007 season.

Manning threw 6 touchdowns and just 1 interception in the playoff run. The Giants had upset wins over the Cowboys and Packers. In the Super Bowl the Giants were great underdogs as they faced the undefeated Patriots and Tom Brady.

The Patriots scored a go ahead touchdown however they left time on the clock for Eli Manning. Manning led the most important drive in Giants history. With 39 seconds left he fired the Super Bowl winner. Manning since then has been known as one of the most clutch players in the NFL.
