New York Giants: 5 Players To Watch During Training Camp

Davis just signed his rookie contract with the Giants so he’s already heading in the right direction. The UCONN receiver has his perfect opportunity to step up and be the Giants’ third wide receiver. That position won’t be handed to him though, he’s going to have to compete for it.
Reuben Randle is a highly inconsistent player. He has a ton of potential but lacks consistency. Victor Cruz is still rehabbing his injured patella and no one knows if he’s going to be the same player. Let’s not forget that there is a whole pack of receivers waiting to compete as well.
Jerry Reese is already comparing the rookie to former Giants’ star David Tyree. He is the perfect kind of third down receiver who can jump up and grab the ball. Davis isn’t a yards after the catch kind of receiver.
Davis could easily become one of the lead contributors in Ben McAdoo’s offense. Every player is going to feel a lot more comfortable now, including Eli Manning and Davis is going to reap all the benefits.
