New York Giants: 5 Players To Watch During Training Camp

If Odighizuwa stays healthy, I believe the Giants struck gold with him. The UCLA product is nothing but an absolute beast. I’m sure Steve Spagnuolo is thrilled with the fact that he has Odighizuwa and Jason-Pierre Paul to rush the edge.
I am bold enough to say that Odighizuwa could be a rookie starter out of the gate. He’ll have a lot of work to do in training camp before he gets there, but it’s a strong possibility. If he pans out to be a star, this Giants’ defense could start to look like the defense we all used to know and love.
If you actually sit back and think about it, Odighizuwa is in a wide-open competition. Damontre Moore is struggling to break out and he’s the leading candidate for the starting role. Jason Bromley and Kerry Wynn are still works in progress. Robert Ayers is productive, but aging.
All of this means Odighizuwa has a real advantage. It’s basically Moore starting position to lose at this point and Odighizuwa is going to be in the running to take his job. He is going to be a piece in the next dominant Giants’ pass rush attack.
