8. Pepper Johnson

It’s amazing that half this list is from the same generation. When the Giants were winning Super Bowl’s and were yearly championship contenders it almost all had to do with their linebacking unit. Pepper Johnson was yet another member of that group.

In Johnson’s tenure with the team he won 2 championships after being drafted in the 2nd-round of the 1986 Draft. In 1990, he was named to his 1st-Pro Bowl with the team and recorded 19 sacks with the team in his 7 years.

Even though Pepper is a Bill Belichick groupie, following him to Cleveland, the Jets and then New England, his best days will be in Giant blue. He will always be remembered as being part of that great linebacking crew for New York in the 1980s.
