The 2015 New York Giants will do battle with all four AFC East teams. This means a meeting against the Patriots that will surely bring back Super Bowl memories. This also means that the Giants and the Jets have a Big Apple showdown, and the build up to that should be insane.
Let’s preview each AFC East team so we know what we’re up against in the 2015 season. How do the Giants match up against the Patriots? Do they have an answer for Tom Brady? How do the Giants match up against the Dolphins? Can the offensive line contain Ndamukong Suh? These are all questions that we need to address.
Playing the AFC East is always interesting for the Giants. The Jets are the other team battling for the heart of New York City. The Bills represent Buffalo, and the people at Orchard Park are as passionate as any fan base there is. You can’t beat having two contests in the great state of New York.
The Patriots and the Giants have developed a bit of a rivalry after meeting in the Super Bowl in 2007 and 2011. In both Super Bowls the Giants have prevailed due to last-minute heroics from Eli Manning and company. Regular season match ups with the Patriots don’t happen every year so it is a nice opportunity to relive the magic of the championship runs.
The Dolphins were the big winners of free agency. They signed Ndamukong Suh, who the Giants highly coveted. The Dolphins also got Jordan Cameron, Louis Delmas and J.D. Walton as just a few of their most notable moves. Miami has a sense of urgency, but are they a real contender in 2015?
