This 1956 team is a bit more recent compared to the 3 prior on this list, and features a plethora of big-time names that live on in New York Giants lore. Many of who, any current fan could identify no matter their age.
Jim Lee Howell was now coaching the team after legend Steve Owen had left 3 years prior and the team was no longer playing at the Polo Grounds, but rather Yankee Stadium. Names like Frank Gifford, Charlie Conerly, Sam Huff and Andy Robustelli made up an extremely talented roster that would win the NFL Championship by a convincing 47-7 score over the Chicago Bears.
This would end an 18-year championship drought, but also be the last championship for New York for 30-years. Either way, this year led to a 1st-place finish in the eastern conference, a championship, and a list of memorable players that will live on forever in team history.
