1. He Comes From A Strong Pedigree

With the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers and the Packers, McAdoo has served as an offensive quality control, offensive line coach, tight ends coach. He was the Green Bay Packers tight end coach from 2006-2011. In 2012 McAdoo was promoted to being the quarterbacks coach and he began working with the league’s best passer, Aaron Rodgers. Wanting to replicate the Packers offensive success, the Giants took a chance on McAdoo and gave him his first coordinator role.

In his first year of calling plays in the NFL, McAdoo showed why the Giants were so willing to take this chance. It wasn’t perfect, and at times the offense sputtered. That being said the offense ranked in the top ten for the entire league, and Manning had his best statistical season. It wasn’t perfect, but it was pretty darn good for a rookie offensive coordinator.

The 37-year-old McAdoo showed what he had learned with the Packers. Mike McCarthy, his former head coach is one of the most respected football minds in the NFL. Aaron Rodgers is a football savant, some of the things he can do are just out of this world amazing. McAdoo learned from the brightest and best offensive minds in the game of football. Now that he is calling the shots, the Giants offense looks to be one of the best in football. If that is what he can accomplish in his first season, the sky is the limit for McAdoo and the Giants offense.
