2015 New York Giants: 10 Players Who Could Surprise You

7. Bennett Jackson
This is one of my favorite young players on this football team. He landed on the practice squad after being drafted in the 6th-round out of Notre Dame in 2014, but then eventually landed on IR due to microfracture surgery on his knee.
If you’ve ever seen Bennett Jackson without a helmet you would think he was Earl Thomas. Jackson will try to bring out his inner Thomas, as he projects to transfer from cornerback to the safety position.
He only participated in preseason games for New York, but he’s a high character guy who was a team captain in college. He may not start, but that might not be a bad thing. He was an outstanding special teams player in college, and if you’ve watched this team lately you know how poorly they’ve performed in that phase of the game.
