The Giants run defense was beyond awful in 2014. Outside of Johnathan Hankins, the Giants currently have a lot of averege type players at the defensive tackle position. Kenrick Ellis is the perfect compliment to Hankins.

Ellis is the epitome of a run-stuffer, which is exactly what this defense needs. You aren’t going to see him on highlight reels, but he’ll be doing the dirty work in the trenches for this team. This could quietly be the best move all offseason made by Jerry Reese and crew.

I know this isn’t a flashy move, but it will prove pay off big-time in the long run. With all the pass rushing talent in this defensive line rotation, Ellis brings a much needed change of pace.
