For years, the Giants linebacking unit has been mediocre, but lately there has been a concerted effort to replenish the position. J.T. Thomas is yet another quiet free agent addition that could pay huge dividends in 2015.

In 2014, Thomas had 84 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 sacks, which is production the Giants could badly use. With Devon Kennard emerging as an impactful player, and Jon Beason healthy, this linebacking unit is rounding into shape.

Thomas is yet another piece for Spags to play with in just about any way he wants. He provides extreme versatility which fits right into the current strategy of the defense.
