Even though training camp hasn’t even started yet, it’s never too early start making bold predictions. The New York Giants are poised to have a breakout season in 2015, one that may break their three-year playoff drought. They have a lot of players that are just itching to break out onto the scene.

The Giants aren’t expected by many to get a playoff birth. Critics are claiming that this team is rebuilding, but Jerry Reese and the Giants’ organization feel that they have all the pieces they need. They have very strong 2014 and 2015 draft classes. Reese managed to nab multiple players that could be immediate contributors.

In the 2015 free agency period, some much needed depth was added. The Giants defense has loads of more talent that they did this previous year, especially on the defensive line. Steve Spangnuolo wasn’t called in to play hopscotch, he was called in to bring back a very prideful Giants’ defensive history.

It seems like everything is falling into place for this struggling squad. Let’s not forgot, the Kansas City Chiefs turned around a 1-15 season into a playoff birth only a couple of years ago. Here are five reasons why the Giants can be in the 2015 playoff picture.
