1. Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin
Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin have been one of the most successful duos in the NFL. It’s very hard to find a top tier head coach and quarterback combo these days. Manning and Coughlin have won two Super Bowls together over the past decade in improbable ways.
There is a reason why Coughlin didn’t get fired after two seasons. It is very hard to break up Coughlin from Manning. Reese is willing to give it one last try. It is very obvious why he is going out on a limb to make that happen.
Even though Coughlin is the oldest head coach in the NFL, that doesn’t mean that he is going to retire within the next couple of years. His time is coming closer, but another playoff berth could mean a whole entire world of a difference. However, you never know when it comes to things like this.
The whole entire Giants’ squad knows the inevitable is bound to happen. They know that Coughlin is going to retire at some point. To send him out on a bad season would be a shame. Manning is going to rally the troops to give Coughlin what could be one last hoorah. The Giants want nothing more than to send Coughlin off with some glory, even if that means a playoff berth.
