4. J.T. Thomas

The newcomer from Jacksonville needs to come in and claim a starting role at the linebacker position. Thomas had a breakout season last year, in 10 starts Thomas logged 85 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, 5 pass break-ups, 1 fumble recovery and 1 touchdown.

Those are very good numbers, if he can start all 16 games he could be a pro bowler and game changer. Thomas flies to the football, he had 3 games of 10 tackles last season. If Thomas can continue developing he has serious potential and will be a key contributor to the team.

The Giants weren’t amazing when it came to linebacker play in 2014. The Giants must get improvement from the second level of their defense. J.T. Thomas could certainly give the Giants defense a boom in a position of dire need.
