The Atlanta Falcons Strengths And Weaknesses:
When you are looking at an opponent the first thing you need to do is evaluate their strengths and their weaknesses. You need to look at what the team does well, you need to look at what the team does poorly. Because it is week 2 of the NFL season it is hard to know what to expect. Both the Falcons and the Giants are hoping for a dramatic turnaround in 2015. This is what guided my first question to Mr. Boston.
Chris Schisler: The first question I asked Freddie Boston of Blogging Dirty was what are the Atlanta Falcons strengths and weaknesses. This was his answer:
Freddie Boston: By far the biggest strength for the Falcons is their offense. Last year, the pass game was one of the best in the NFL, and it continue to be with the addition of Justin Hardy via the draft. Tevin Coleman can transform the run game in Kyle Shanahan’s zone blocking scheme.
Until proven otherwise, the pass defense is the biggest concern. Vic Beasley will go a long way to helping the unit, and I don’t think there’s any chance they finish 32nd again under Dan Quinn. There is still plenty of work to do though.
