4. Dwayne Harris Vs. Rueben Randle

Position: Wide Receiver 3

Even though Dwayne Harris was brought in to play as a special teams return man, it would only make sense if he were included in the passing game as well. Harris reported that he wanted to get reps in the Giants’ offense. If there’s one thing the Giants are deep at, it’s wide receiver. The competition is going to come from all ends.

Harris is the underdog in this competition because Rueben Randle currently holds the starting spot for being the third wide receiver. Randle shows that he has a lot of potential, but remains extremely inconsistent. I believe that if another wide receiver steps up, Randle’s job security is in danger.

The next best wide receiver on the list is Harris. Harris has a ton of potential and is a league veteran. He most likely is right under Randle on the Giants’ coaches’ depth chart. Harris is going to give Randle his all because he is determined to be more than just a special teams player.

Randle’s job security is definitely in question after all the years of inconsistency. Jerry Reese and the coaches obviously want Harris to do more in the Giants offense. They signed him to a five-year deal. Five years for a special team player is a bit much. Expect the completion to be fierce between these two players.
